Isara's main purpose is a free learning center where they teach English to the locals, but they serve other campaigns as well such as clean up events and promoting helmet safety to the vast majority of people who use motorcycles as their main form of transportation. Their commitment to their community is what drew me to them, and their simple yet effective and engaging campaigns.
Isara is a great foundation with a wonderful community. They provide a free place to stay if there is room available, but all other living expenses will be covered by me, including my plane ticket. Since I was already going to be in Thailand, I decided this would be my best chance to volunteer abroad for some time. In addition, I know that Thailand is going to give so much to me during my stay in Bangkok so I wanted to give back to this beautiful country.
Now, to get to the point of this story. I could use all of the help possible covering my living expenses while I am in Nong Khai residing at Isara. Meals are very inexpensive in Thailand, and often only cost $1-$5 at the most, so basically... I am asking you (if you would like to) to pay for one of my meals. If you would like to pay for more than one meal, please do! But, that is all I am asking of you.
$240 = meals for the entire time I am there!
$60 = meals for a week!
$9 = meals for a day!
$1-$5 donation = 1 meal!
